HONOLULU — Ke Kumu Ulu (KKU) is excited to welcome a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Russell Stinehour. His 46+ years of executive leadership serving clients in healthcare, IT, food, education, and more provide him with the depth and breadth of experience needed to ensure KKU continues to grow. 

Stinehour will guide financial practices across KKU and its subsidiary companies, establishing policies and strategies to support long-term stability and accelerated expansion. His track record of financial stewardship speaks for itself. Stinehour founded two companies and developed them until they achieved consistent financial growth, successfully selling both companies after less than 15 years of business.  

“I couldn’t have achieved that without investing in relationships with my team and clients. I truly believe that the best leaders have a servant mindset—serving others is a privilege,” he says. Stinehour credits this belief as the key to his companies’ productivity, efficiency, and overall success.

Ke Kumu Ulu is a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) serving the Native Hawaiian community by sponsoring, conducting and funding STEAM based initiatives in Hawai‘i schools offering Hawaiian language immersion programs. KKU’s mission is to provide educational, business, and community activities and programs to Native Hawaiian people in the State of Hawai‘i. KKU has 2 subsidiaries: 

  • Ulu HI-Tech, Inc., is a DevSecOps focused company delivering agile solutions with automated security and operations captured in pipelines. Ulu HI-Tech. Is an SBA recognized 8(a) certified company and a State of Hawai‘i DOT DBE company.
